Puppy Training

The puppy phase is the most critical phase in the life of a dog.  Improper handling and mistakes in raising a puppy now, will determine the personality and behaviors of your dog in the future.  Its important in the puppy stage to expose your dog to as many situations as possible, with careful guidance towards their job and purpose, (i.e. home pet, working dog, etc.), while still protecting their animal nature.

Here at Matan dog training, we will guide you into exposing your new family member to the right beginnings as well as teach you the tools you need in order to communicate effectively with your dog, preventing behavioral issues in the future.

Obedience Training

Here we believe that obedience strengthens and deepens the bonds you hold with your dog.  It’s important to teach your dog to respect and abide by your command in order to live together peacefully and stress free. Our philosophy will guide you, the handler, to see your dog from a professional point of view where you will learn knowledge and tools that will enable you to lead your dog, while still honoring their individuality and instinctive animal nature.

Behavior Modification

Does your dog: Destroy the house when you’re gone… Pull on the leash when you’re walking… Jump on your visitors… And wake up the neighbors?  Whatever the issue, your dog needs professional help.  Why?  Because most of the time behavior issues like these, are the result of frustration and a misunderstanding of your dogs basic needs.

With Matan Dog Training, we will investigate and detect the root cause of the issue and guide you and your dog in order to stop the unwanted behaviors and frustration and replace them with healthy behaviors that will help your dog achieve balance and peace of mind.

Aggressive Dog

Gone are the good old days when your dog would chew on the furniture or bark at the neighbors.  Now he’s biting, growling and difficult to trust around strangers, dog or human.  Your dog has been missing balance in his life for too long, and turning it around is going to take some real commitment.

There are three main causes of aggression: territorial, dominance and stress. Each one requires a different approach and style of treatment.

We firmly believe that all dogs can be rehabilitated and find the balance that they were meant to have.  Depending on the severity of the case we will build a plan catered specifically to your dog’s needs, weather it’s an extended stay with us or meetings multiple times a week.  We will teach you the knowledge and tools that will help you gain control as pack leader and relieve your dog from the root causes of his behavior.
