Dog Training Philosophy

The dog-training world is full of different ideologies and theories.  The two main categories that trainers practice are either positive and negative reinforcement, or positive reinforcement only. From there, philosophies vary about the details including the use of treats, tools and approach, all of whom fight between them about who is right.  But every dog is different and unique, with needs that vary accordingly.

I believe in two things: there is no “one” right way in life and “results don’t lie.”   Every dog has a unique character, various drives, and something new to teach me.   For this reason,  “training” begins with knowing and understanding the animal’s nature, needs and essence. With patience and respect for this beautiful creature i build individual training programs, tailored specifically for each dog after meeting and learning about the dog’s behavior, breed, and the lifestyle of his handler.

I’ve learned to combine all the techniques and approaches to optimize results and expand my resources. No train is the same. Whichever way will best serve the dog and the goals of the training, is the one that will be used.  And so long as you, the handler, are truly dedicated to the process as my student, I truly believe we can achieve success no matter the challenge.
