Matan Shaibi, Owner of Matan Dog Training

Matan Shaibi was born and raised in a small farming community in Israel where as a young boy he made taking in stray dogs a personal mission, often turning his back yard into a mini animal shelter. Later as an adult, his work with protection dogs inspired him to become a student of renowned trainer Amos Shiboli, in Emec Hefer, Israel. There he learned dog training with an emphasis on working dogs, animal communication and animal body language for the span of two years.

In the years that followed he trained protection dogs and working dogs for organizations like the Israeli Army and Police force, as well as independent security agencies. In addition to that, Matan uses the healing qualities of animals to help teenagers and children with social impairments, guiding them with the use of dogs and their rehabilitating nature.

Today, Matan resides in Los Angeles, CA where he continues to expand his education and knowledge base on various alternative healing approaches for animals such as, water rehabilitation, and massage therapy. In the future he intends to continue his marriage between child rehabilitation and dog rehabilitation and fulfill his life’s goal of opening a treatment center for both people and animals, bringing healing and happiness to all.
